Updates from : Scroll.in : The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal has passed an order in favour of Sushmita Sen ruling that the actor is not liable to pay tax on the compensation she received from Coca Cola for settling a sexual harassment complaint, PTI reported on Monday. The amount of Rs 95 lakh would not be classified as an “income”, said the authority that adjudicates income tax disputes. The tribunal also dismissed an earlier penalty of Rs 31.35 lakh imposed on Sen for having concealed this amount. In an order passed on November 14, the tribunal accepted the actor’s contention that the amount is a “capital gain” and not income, which attracts tax. A contract between the beverage company and Sen, worth Rs 1.5 crore, had ended prematurely in 2003 after the actor alleged sexua
